An American River College,
Connect For Education, and Berklee College collaboration!
American River College (ARC) Music Department is thrilled to announce to aspiring musicians, the Epic Trio, a dynamic new partnership with Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s leading institutions for contemporary music education. This collaboration will provide ARC students a direct pathway to transfer to Berklee after completing two years of study, creating a unique and accessible opportunity for aspiring musicians.
Eligible ARC students enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Music for Transfer (AA-T) or the Associate of Arts in Commercial Music Business or Recording programs can now seamlessly transfer to Berklee at junior status. Through this partnership, students can complete their four-year music degree entirely online with Berklee, accessing a premier education from wherever they are.
As part of this flexible education approach, ARC’s collaboration with Connect For Education (C4E) enables the AA-T program to be offered fully online, allowing students to study in a fully online or blended format.
Dr. Steven Thompson from ARC’s Music Department states:
A remarkable opportunity for music students
“Students can study at ARC with the support of Connect For Education’s online platform, then complete their degree through Berklee’s acclaimed online program. ARC students earning an AA-T or an associate degree in commercial music can transfer directly into Berklee’s degree programs, including electronic music and sound design, music production, film and game composition, songwriting, and more.”
ARC is committed to open access
“No auditions are required to join our degree programs, making music education accessible to all, from teenagers to adult learners. Many students also qualify for the California Promise Grant, which covers tuition and fees for eligible California residents.”
A Pathway to Success
To join the ARC-to-Berklee transfer pathway, students complete a minimum of two years of coursework at ARC, meeting Berklee’s academic requirements. With ARC’s online and blended options powered by C4E, students enjoy the flexibility to study from anywhere, achieving their musical goals with world-class educational resources.
